If you're having issues with transferring the attendance, please follow the steps below:

  1. Click SEN.

  2. Click Admin.

  3. Click Schools, and click School Transfer.

  4. Select the school to transfer the pupils from.

  5. Select the school to transfer the pupils to.

Note: This should also show you all the pupils in a list.
Additionally, this can be done using SysTalk via a two-fold import.

  6. Export a list of the Attendances you wish to overwrite. You’ll need Pupil ID, LEA and DFE (of the current School) and Start Date.

  7. In the exported file/data set, create a unique ID/identifier in an additional column.

  8. Map the file in an Ad Hoc import in SysTalk, mapping the identifier that you’ve created to the Attendance-level field External ID.

  9. Import the data over the top of the existing Attendances to ‘seed’ the External ID against the records you wish to alter.

  10. Now, adapt the file you exported to have the new School LEA and DFE codes on it, and keep the unique identifier you created.

  11. Load up the file in SysTalk, keeping the same mapping you created above. However, create a new Record Matching config that matches Attendances to External ID and nothing else - a 100% match set.

  12. This should then match the Attendances that you previously ‘stamped’ with your first import, and allow you to overwrite them.
