Inspection records now show detailed outcomes across multiple evaluation areas. You can view this information in several places across Synergy, each displaying the outcomes in a format appropriate for that area.

View outcomes in FIS Registration

  1. Open the provider's registration record.

  2. Click the Ofsted tab.

  3. The Inspection History table shows all inspections with:

    • Inspection date

    • Published date

    • Headline Outcome (for old-style inspections)

    • Outcomes column (showing the count for new inspections)

  4. Click any inspections row to view its detailed outcomes.

  5. The Inspections Area Outcomes table displays below showing each evaluated area and it's judgement.

πŸ“ŒNote: If the Outcomes column is blank, it's an old-style inspection with only a single overall outcome.

View outcomes in Synergy Web Provider Portal

  1. Go to the Synergy Web Provider Portal.

  2. Click the Ofsted section.

  3. Locate the inspection you want to view.

  4. Click the expander button next to the outcome count.

  5. The detailed outcomes display in the format 'Area: Judgement'.

View outcomes in Synergy Web Public Enquiry

  1. Go to Synergy Web Public Enquiry.

  2. Search for a provider.

  3. View the provider details page.

  4. The Last Inspection Outcomes widget shows colour coded sections for each judgement level.

  5. Areas are grouped under their respective judgements.

πŸ€“Tip: The colour coding helps you quickly identify the judgement level - blue for Exceptional, green for Strong/Expected Standard, orange for Needs Attention, and red for Urgent Improvement.

Understanding the display

For new style inspections (November 2025 onwards)

  • Published date is shown

  • Multiple outcomes across seven evaluation areas

  • Colour-coded judgements in Public Enquiry

For old style inspections (before November 2025)

  • No published date

  • Single overall effectiveness outcome

  • Traditional outcome display (Outstanding, Good, etc.)
