Case Management: Add a new event

In this article, we will explain how to add a new event to a running record and how to assign a family centre to an event.

Case Management events allow you to record an event or events against a person, organisation or family group.

The Event menu is accessible from the navigation bar via both the drop-down Event menu and the Overflow menu to the right of the navigation bar.

Adding a new Event

πŸ“Œ Note: The fields available to you depend on the event selected.

  1. Click the required event in the Event drop-down menu. The selected event will open in a new tab.​

  2. If the event displays a Concerning field, click the magnifying glass icon to open the multi-select controls to search for and select the name of the person or organization.​

  3. If the event displays a Recipient field, click the magnifying glass icon to open the multi-select controls to search for and select the name of the recipient.​

  4. Click the RR Category (Running Record) in the drop-down list if you wish to change the default category.

πŸ˜†Tip: Fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory fields; these must be entered before an event can be saved.


Family centre workers

If you are a Family Centre Worker, you can choose to assign, or not assign, some events to a Family Centre by selecting the Assign to Family Centre check box.

β€‹πŸ“ŒNote: Family Centre Session Events will be assigned to a Family Centre by default.

  1. Click the required Family Centre, Project, Activity and Session from the drop-down lists.​

  2. Click the required Contacted By from the drop-down list, this list will only contain those workers who are linked to the selected Family Centre and will become available for selection when a Family Centre is selected.


Add a family centre outcome

  1. In the Family Centre Outcomes panel, click Add Row.​

  2. Click on the Concerning person or people to whom the outcomes will apply.​

  3. Enter or click on the Outcome Date.​

  4. Click the Outcome Type in the drop-down list.​

  5. If this outcome is the main outcome, select the Main Outcome check box.​

  6. Click the required Status in the drop-down list.​

  7. If required, enter any Outcome Notes into the free text field.​

  8. Click Save.

Events created and assigned to a Family Centre will appear in the person's running record with the associated family centre displayed.
