You can use the settings in Synergy Admissions to help you limit the applications per child that can be made.

To get started, follow these simple steps.

  1. Open Synergy Admissions, then select your required round.

  2. Click the C / In Year tab, then enter the number of allowed applications per child. Zero indicates an unlimited number of applications.

  3. Click Save.

Override the application limit

If necessary, you can override the application limit on an individual basis.

For example, if a parent or carer moves house and makes an in-year application, and the child is awarded a school place but then moves house again, another in-year application will need to be made.

To get started follow these steps.

  1. Open Synergy Web Admin, then click Account Manager.

  2. Click Citizen, then click Child.

  3. Click Applications, then click View Details.

  4. Click the Override button.

Parents or carers cannot submit an additional in-year application until the Override option is used, as the round will not be visible for selection.

It's recommended to add a note via content management advising parents or carers to contact the local authority if they need to make an additional application. The round can then be made available.
