Missing provision

If the Import Type column is showing Missing Provision, it means the registration status exists within FIS, but not in the Ofsted feed.

To remove the registration from the Ofsted Import screen, you will need to change the registration status on the Registration tab of the registration record. The status needs to be changed to one which is not ticked Ofsted Import.

  1. Open FIS, then click Admin.

  2. Click Registration Admin, then click Registration Status.

Removed, Resigned Provision

Ofsted has marked this registration as Resigned, but has not removed it from their feed. In this case, the registration will stay on the Ofsted import until Ofsted removes it from the feed. This is usually about three months after the registration is marked as Resigned.

Changed Provision

Open the registration record and go to the Ofsted Imp tab, check what has been set as the Last Change Date and Registration Details Last Modified date.

The Last Change Date is the date Ofsted last made a change to their version of the record, and Registration Last Modified is the last time an update was applied to the record in FIS.

If the Registration Details Last Modified is earlier than the Last Change Date, then Ofsted has made a change to the record, which has not yet been applied in FIS. To clear the record from the import screen, click the Update button on the Ofsted Imp tab to apply the update.

If the Last Change Date is earlier than Registration Details Last Modified, but the record is still showing in the Ofsted Import screen as Changed Provision, this can be caused by a duplicate registration record existing with the same Ofsted Unique Ref number.

Run a Registration query in FIS

  1. On the Registration Details tab, fill in the Ofsted Unique Ref.

  2. On the Registration tab, tick Include Ceased Registrations, tick Include Registrations with No Providers, and untick Public Only.

  3. If this query returns multiple results, either delete the duplicate record or remove the Ofsted ref from it.
